What is the Pokopia Town Planner?
The Pokopia Town Planner is an interactive tool that lets you design your Pokemon Pokopia town layout before building in-game. Place terrain, furniture, crafted items, and food on a virtual grid to plan your builds. The planner automatically detects when your placed items form valid habitat configurations and shows which Pokemon they would attract. Use it to optimize your layout for maximum Pokemon diversity, plan material gathering, and experiment with different arrangements without wasting in-game resources.
How to Use the Town Planner
- Browse the item palette on the left and click items to add them to the grid.
- Items are placed automatically at the next available position. Drag them to reposition.
- As you add items, the sidebar shows which habitats are formed and what Pokemon they attract.
- The Attraction Score shows the total unique Pokemon your layout would attract.
- Hover over a placed item and click X to remove it.
- Name your layout and click Save to store it for later. Load saved layouts anytime.
Town Planning Tips
- Start with high-value habitats that attract many Pokemon (like Tall Grass variants).
- Items can count toward multiple habitats — optimize by sharing items between configurations.
- Check the detected habitats list to see which Pokemon you're attracting and adjust.
- Use the Resource Calculator alongside the planner to estimate material costs.
- Save multiple layout versions to compare different strategies.
- Focus on habitats that attract Pokemon with useful specialties (Chop, Fly, Burn) early on.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Town Layout Planner?
The Town Layout Planner lets you design your Pokopia town virtually before building in-game. Place items on a grid, and the planner automatically detects which habitat configurations you've formed and which Pokemon they would attract.
How does habitat detection work?
When you place items that match a habitat's build requirements (correct items in correct quantities), the planner recognizes the habitat and shows which Pokemon it would attract. Place 4 Tall Grass items to form the "Tall Grass" habitat, for example.
What is the Attraction Score?
The Attraction Score counts the total number of unique Pokemon species that your layout would attract based on the habitats formed. A higher score means more Pokemon diversity.
Can I save my layouts?
Yes. Signed-in users can save synced town layouts and share them with a public link, while guests can still keep layouts locally in their browser.
