What is a Pokopia Spawn Calculator?

The Pokopia Spawn Calculator shows you exactly which Pokemon can appear in Pokemon Pokopia based on the current time of day and weather conditions. Pokopia uses your Nintendo Switch 2 system clock, so Pokemon availability changes throughout the day. This tool lets you filter by time period (Morning, Daytime, Evening, Nighttime) and weather (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy) to plan your play sessions and target specific Pokemon.

How to Use the Spawn Calculator

  1. The calculator auto-detects your current time of day. You can change it to plan ahead.
  2. Select the weather condition matching your in-game weather.
  3. Browse the results grouped by rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary).
  4. Use "Unbefriended only" to focus on Pokemon you haven't caught yet.
  5. Click any Pokemon to see its habitat details and build requirements.
  6. Use the search bar to filter by name, type, or specialty.

Spawn & Timing Tips

  • Nighttime-only Pokemon (like Venonat) require illuminated habitats. Build these before evening falls.
  • Build Rain Dance Site or Sunny Day Site habitats to control weather instead of waiting for the right conditions.
  • Morning (5–10 AM) and Evening (5–8 PM) are the shortest windows — prioritize Pokemon that only appear then.
  • Some Legendary Pokemon require special conditions beyond time and weather. Check our Legendary Guide.
  • Event Pokemon have limited-time windows. Check the dashboard for active events.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Pokemon spawning work in Pokopia?

Pokemon appear at habitats based on three factors: the habitat type you've built, the current time of day (Morning, Daytime, Evening, Nighttime), and the current weather (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy). Some Pokemon appear at all times and weather, while others only show up under specific conditions.

What are the time periods in Pokemon Pokopia?

Pokopia uses your Nintendo Switch 2 system clock. Morning is 5:00–9:59 AM, Daytime is 10:00 AM–4:59 PM, Evening is 5:00–7:59 PM, and Nighttime is 8:00 PM–4:59 AM.

Can I change the weather in Pokopia?

Yes! You can build Rain Dance Site or Sunny Day Site habitats to influence the weather in your area. This is useful for spawning weather-dependent Pokemon without waiting.

Why can't I find a specific Pokemon?

Make sure you've built the correct habitat, are playing at the right time of day, have the right weather conditions, and are in the correct region. Some Pokemon are region-locked to specific areas like Palette Town.
