32 specialties — what they do and which Pokemon have them
Every Pokemon in Pokopia has one or more specialties — unique abilities that help you gather resources, craft items, travel, and transform your island. Specialties are essential for progression, not just nice-to-have.
Priority Specialties (Get These First)
These specialties are critical for early-game progression:
- Chop — Processes logs into lumber, the most-needed material. Get Scyther ASAP.
- Fly — Enables fast travel and Dream Island access. Get Drifloon early.
- Crush — Breaks rocks and boulders for stone materials. Onix or Geodude.
- Burn — Creates fire, burns obstacles, turns clay into brick. Charmander line.
- Water — Creates water tiles, essential for many habitats. Squirtle line.
